Yes, I have an interest in the name Wild -I am a complete novice at family history tracing-My ancestor came to Victoria Australia -his name was George Wild born around 1837 in Derbyshire

I have a Joseph Wild born abt 1773 in Mellor (I think) married Judith Clayton. They had 8 children born between 1802 - 1818 but according to my information all the boys had died by 1819.

You need to find where George was born? Family Search will give you abt. 13 Gerge Wild's born 1837 +/- 5 years and 2 actually baptised in 1837 - one in Pinxton and one in Alfreton.
