Parish Register for WEM 1812

Hello everyone, would anyone be able to help? I am trying to find out if the William Turner who married Jane Haycocks in WEM on 27th October 1812 is the one I am looking for. Would the entry in the Parish Registar have whereabouts William Turner and Jane came from?

Could anyone look? Information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Dot

I presume you have found the entry in the Printed Parish Register. For entries after 1754 you can presume they came from the parish where the marriage took place unless there is something to say they were from somewhere else, so it would appear that both William TURNER and Jane HAYCOCKS were from Wem. The original register will not have anything which does not appear in the printed version. I had hoped they might show up on the 1851 census but I can't see them.

I have looked at the Parish registers of births for Haycocks and checked entries 1775- 1795 but no record for Jane, although there are lots of Haycocks in the Wem index. Also no Wm. Turner. Only their marriage entry.
It's possible they came from an outlying village ?
