He married in New Zealand, Ruth Vile, born 15 Nov. 1848, North Curry, Somerset, England; died. 17 Sep 1929,
Ruth’s family, consisting of her father, John Vile; mother, Ann Foster; and their children; Ruth, 9yrs; Job, 12yrs; Catherine, 11yrs; William, 4yrs; and Emma, who died at sea, immigrated to New Zealand in 1857.
