I too am looking for assistance in tracing my ancestorsand have arrived at the same stage as Maud Jarvis, the name O'Brien isn't the most rare in Ireland but it must be the most widely spread, a lot of them came to england to work in the potteries in the Stoke area, as did Peter O'Brien born Ireland (thought to be Kilkenny) approx. 1839 to 44, married Margaret Carty at Cobridge R/C Chapel 1869. His Father was Harry a farm labourer, that's all I've got, can anyone help?, or is it time to give up?
