Sarah CUPIT born Oakerthorpe in the Parish of South Wingfield, Derbyshire. Baptised at South Wingfield in 1821 where her parents die in 1826 and 1827. In 1841 she is in South Wingfield, age 20, and living with a family called BRENTNALL (if it is her).
On the 12 July 1846 at Crich, Derbyshire, Sarah CUPIT(X) marries William DRAKED(X), Labourer, both 'of age'. The witnesses are her Brother Christopher CUPIT(X) and his Wife Lucy(X). William DRAKED, is the Son of Benjamin DRAKED, Labourer. Bride and Groom both live at Amber Row which is a row of houses on the outskirts of South Wingfield.
Two children born 1854 and 1856 in Derbyshire under DRAKED have the Mothers maiden name of JERVIS so are not children of William and Sarah.
So can anyone find Sarah and William DRAKED after 1846 or even William before 1846. From what I can see DRAKED is not a real name......
Thanks
Mitch

Have you seen this 1851 Census:
Piece 2145 / Folio 294 / Page number 24
This has a 30 year old unmarried Sarah Cupit who was born in South Wingfield living on her own.
Then in 1861 Sarah Sealey married to Richard - Piece number 2513 / Folio 81 / Page 5, with a 1 year old son William. Looking at the birth registrations there is a William Cupit Sealey born in 1859 (Belper), whose mother's maiden name is Cupit.
There was a marriage between Richard and Sarah in 1859 in Belper.

emeltee, Perfect thank you. I had tried all sorts of things but had somehow missed this 1851. She is of Amber Row at Marriage in 1846. If she died their in 1849 this would explain the Chesterfield death (Amber Row is in the Township of Wessington in the Parish of Crich - which are in differing registration districts!) Helpfully Amber Row is a stones throw from the Baptist Church in the neighbouring Parish of South Wingfield, which actually has a burial ground, which would explain why I can't find a burial for her either.....
Thanks for your help. Appreciated.
