Default Richard and Elizabeth Hampton - St Erth

Hi - this couple (Elizabeth Ann Whinen) married on 8 September 1881 in St Erth.

I have a baptism of 12 May 1860 for Richard.

    No trace in 1891, 1901 or 1911!

    Could they have emigrated?

    Phil

    thank you

It certainly looks like they emigrated to Michigan
There is a certificate of death for a Richard J Hampton, age 25, who died in Wayne, Detroit May 11 1944.He was born Migichigan 1885
He is the son of Richard M Hampton and Elizabeth Whinnen, both born England. Soit looks as if Richard and Elizabeth emigrated sometime after the1881 census and prior to their son Richards birth 1 Ocrober 1885.
