His probate record shows he was living at 38 Poppythorn Lane Prestwich Lancashire at the time of his death on 18 January 1955. Probate to Mary Wilson Castledine, spinster and Norman Victor Scammel, bank manager.Effects 3260 pound 14 shillings and nine pence.
His wife died 13 November 1953 and was of the same address with probate t the same people - effects 200 pounds. She died at Florence Nightingale Hospital Bury Lancashire.
I don't have full access to the 1921census so using just the index it seems he was living with his mother Ada, a Doris Annie Castledine who was born 1901 in Lincolnshire and 5 others.

In the 1939 register he and his wife Hilda are living at 39 Richmond Road,Rawtenstall. His occupation A/C's Collector Treasurer's department followed by 2 words i can't fathom. They have a daughter Mary W born 1925 who later married someone with the surname Thomas.
On FreeBMD Mary W Castledine married Victor J THomas September 1/4 1967 Heywood registration district.

I think those 2 words could be Manchester Corporation. Which is the Manchester City Council nowadays.

Earlier records show him being a clerk, must have worked his way up the ladder working in the Treasury dept.

The address states Manchester not Rawtenstall.
