I have Hubert James Phillips born 4 Feb 1907, place ?
died 30 Mar 1990, National Home, Denham Green, Le Denham Uxbridge,Middlesex.
married:
Violet Emily Betts 29 Apr 1933 St. Simon, Zelotes, Chelsea, Kensington.

census 1939 Heathrside Garage, Bagshot Surrey. occupation: chauffeur mechanic.

Now I have violet travelling to New York Nov 1929 and returning Dec 1929.
then Violet travelled to Australia 19 Nov 1947. (well I believe its the same Violet)

cannot seem to find any children as well.

On the marriage certificate (image available on Ancestry, though as you know the date and place of marriage presumably you already have a copy) Hubert's father is given as John Gilroy Phillips, occupation publican.

One of the witnesses is Septima SS Phillips, who appears on the 1939 register in Holborn with an assortment of different birthdays - either 2 Jul 1878, 2 Jul 1874, or 2 Jul 1884!!

Septima Sarah Susan Phillips died in 1957, and her YoB on that record is c1879. Probate to Westminster Bank

With her is a Marie L Phillips born 30 Mar 1912

Married 7 years, 6 children born and still living, but none with them in the census.

I think she was using CAMERON as she had taken up with John Gilroy CAMERON, but I dont know yet why he was using the surname Phillips.
