I have Joseph Turner m Lucy Dines Chelmsford 1865 DQ 4a 275 (FMP & FreeBMD) plus ERO (also from FMP)DP/156/1/4 except here her surname is transcribed as Davies. Her father (John, ag lab) & location (Writtle) & date match and show further in the 1871 census.
I'm wondering if 'Davies' is a better transcribed as 'Dines'?
If someone has an ERO subscription & can check, it would be much appreciated
Thanks
Richard

Are you querying whether her maiden name is Dines or Davies? Or just whether the ERO transcription is incorrect?
Have you checked for the mother's maiden name of any children of the marriage?

I presume you're aware of how a ERO 'subscription' works?

I know when I had some look-ups to do I paid for a week's access and applied myself to searching 24/7. I suspect that most other people would be like me, and buy access for a short period of time, rather than have a long-term sub. You're lucky, you would get a sub for 20% less as you wouldn't have to pay VAT as you live outside the UK and EU.Vulcan XH558 - “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”

Essex Archives online database has a blurry image which is difficult to read but it has been transcribed as DINES.You have an option to view a larger image on the site for a fee.
England & Wales Marraige index also has Dines and clearly looks like Dines.

Thanks. Her maiden name is known to be Dines - It was whether the ERO record shown by FMP was transcribed correctly. Sorry if I hadn't made it clear.
