    There are also 2 other McFarlane births Grace 1843 & ElizBeth 1844. Both born in Trincomalee.

    No parents names on any of the 3 births records.

    Thanks so much, Ed and Pamela. I didn't know anything about James McFarlane at all, I was just starting out on a tree for a friend, and wasn't expecting much, but this all looks very likely and wonderfully interesting.
