    This may be useful. I have just had this notification.


    ‘This week on Ancestry we’ve updated the UK, World War II Alien Internees 1939-1945 collection.


    We’ve updated the collection with records for people born in the years 1919-1921, in line with current privacy guidelines.’

    At the beginning of the month they also added,UK, World War II War Diaries 1939-1946 collection.

    These records are great - they hold records of the outcomes of the tribunals 'enemy aliens' were required to attend in 1939. They record for each individual which category they were placed in initially - A, B, C - interned, subject to restrictions, or allowed to carry on their normal lives.
