I have been wandering all over the internet this weekend, finally ending up in London cemeteries. As in 'Greater London', so some of these cemeteries might have started life in another county. e.g. Middlesex or Essex, something to consider when trying to work out where your relatives might be buried.

Firstly, there are the 'Magnificent Seven'.

Then there are the 'ordinary' ones, including a couple specifically for Roman Catholic burials, as well as a link to some Jewish cemeteries.

However, please note that I think there are some cemeteries missing from this list.

Some cemeteries have a database of burials available for free online. Others have the data available via the DeceasedOnline website for a small-ish fee. (If you personally visit a cemetery office with a name and a date of death the office would probably look up the burial details free of charge for you, but if you have to pay travel costs then DeceasedOnline will probably be a much cheaper option. )
This is the online database for burials in Brompton cemetery.

Findmypast and Ancestry both have databasets of various churchyard burials or for early cemeteries such as Bunhill Fields. If you don't have a subscription to either site then you might be able to get free access to them at your local library.

Try also Find-a-grave and Billion graves although I think both of those sites deal more with photographs of gravestones than burial records for a particular cemetery.

One of the cemeteries/crematoriums missing from the list of ones in London is Croydon, though the early one of Queens Road is listed. Croydon has an online Book of Remembrance.

I will try to expand this post as I think of more details, but am posting this in the meantime so I don't lose what I've already found.
