A possible, same birth date as the possible death record.

The 1939 Register, it doesn't give relationships.

    43 Albert St, West Bromwich.
    Edward Bates 55, 14 Dec 1884
    Florence Bates 54, 30 Aug 1885
    Edith Bates 25, 19 Mar 1914
    Thomas Bates 24, 28 Oct 1915
    Frederick Bates 22, 7 Mar 1917
    Ada Bates 19, 1 May 1920
Albert Bates 16, born 25 Jan 1923, spring worker
I found that Albert Bates entry, but dismissed it as the supposed parents' names didn't fit though it was the best 'fit' in the results for Albert. .

An Edward Bates and Florence Davies are on the same marriage registration page, June quarter 1908, King's Norton registration district.

I have all the information on Ida Griffiths (Vowles) that is my line.
So, to confirm, Albert Andrew's parents are Edward Bates and Florence nee Davies?
What's the address either of where Albert was born, or where his parents were living when he was born?

I checked Ada and Frederick's birth registrations, and both have mother's maiden name Davies.

Pam, it does seem Albert Andrew's parents are indeed Edward and Florence.

My cousin thinks there was an uncle Tom and also aunt Doris. He hear of these in his late teens.
In 1911 Edward and Florence are at 25, Galton St, Smethwick. Also there's Doris, dau, age 1, born Smethwick. Edward is 26, a carter, born West Bromwich. Florence 25, Pensnett, married 3 years.

Doris was a resident of St Margaret’s mental institute at the time of this census. There should also be another sibling, Edward. Maybe he was married and didn't live in Albert St.
Is there any where to get info on Doris in St Margaret's?

Are you referring to the 1939 register or, the 1911 census?

    BATES, EDWARD LEONARD MMN DAVIES
    GRO Reference: 1911 J Quarter in KING'S NORTON Volume 06C Page 477

The 1911 census was taken on 2nd April, Edward was born 16 May 1911, which is why he's not on the census.

1939, 12 Jesson St, West Brom.
