She married Reuben Gilson 11 May 1869. Anderston, Glasgow. Her Parents were John Thomson(Occ.Blacksmith) & Susan(nee'Baird).
Margaret Gilson married Enoch Bedson, 18 Apr 1885 • West Gorton, All Saints, Lancashire. (Both were widowed).
I cannot find a birth/baptism for Margaret Thomson/Thompson, nor a marriage in ScotlandsPeople, for her parents John & Susan.

Basic question - have you found Margaret in the 1851 and 1861 census?
Hopefully she's with her parents in at least 1851, so that should be helpful in knowing where the parents were born, and possibly giving a clue as to where they married.
On her second marriage certificate does Margaret still say her father was John Thomson/Thompson, blacksmith?Vulcan XH558 - “Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.”

Only from the 1871 UK census, to 1901 Uk census. She dies in Chorlton, Lancs, in 1910. Yes, het father was John,but deceased.
