    Dear Pam,

Just found an emigration list from Dutch authorities stations that J. Manheim, so Kathleens husband Jacques, went to Canada, Antwerp to Montreal on ship Johan Willem Friso october 9, 1952, with total 3 persons so that might be with wife and maybe son Michael Robert. They were sponsored by a South Peace Publication Ltd and end desination Sexsmith Alberta.
    Best regards, Paul

That would explain why there were no records of emigration from the UK prior to Kathleen's inbound, then outbound, journey in 1957.

Re access to Ancestry, try your local public library. You should be able to access it there for free, or else the cost of using the library's computers.
