Hi There,
I think I'm a direct relation to this man. Possibly my 10x Great Grandfather. I'm not sure where to find all the materials you are referring to (but I'm catching up on my reading now), but it would be great to read so I can argue also. The traits are tangible.

It’s quite a while ago, but judging from what I said, it was mostly the Proceedings of the Royal Society and the Internet Archives, both on line. Some stuff were on Google Books.
It’s always fun to find a colorful ancestor!
