Mine just changed in the last few days. I don't usually log out, but there was a reason I had to & when I logged back in the awful new home page was there. Not sure if the two events are connected or its just a coincidence, but maybe don't risk it!

Unfortunately I did not log out - it just appeared like a fungus!

I've checked my PC now, it's going straight to the Search page, as before, and I hadn't logged out/in. I'm not changing any setting or trying the other branches (eg anc com)!

Search Page or Home Page? Its the Home page that's changed - they're on separate 'tabs' on the top bar.

I think they may be changing people over in stages, as I'd seen others complain while mine was still OK and then suddenly BAM, I was flipped over to the awful one.

As Megan has said, if you still have the old one and use Quick Links, then make sure you have everything you want/need set up now, as you cant add any more once you're flipped over.

    To Chris and Alma,

Just proves that our brains are all wired differently, as I prefer FMP to Ancestry.
Might have something to do with the fact that I usually click the 'search' button underneath the top tab, then click 'all records sets' and type in the beginning of the one I need. e.g. 1881 for the 1881 census. I can then search the precise set.

Pam, when FMP needs 'masterclass' instructions as long as that it only reinforces my frustrations.

I do use those methods, Pam, but, only when I have to - i.e. when searching records Ancestry don't have. My first go to site is always Ancestry, it suits me

Me too. I have had Anc much longer than FMP, so I’m used it it.

I went to Ancestry this evening and a little pop up box appeared asking me for my views on their new site ......... I leave it to your imaginations as to what I wrote!!
