Wow...Thankyou so much. Almach and everyone. I haven't seen the Ancestry tree but my William's parents were James Pendlebury & Mary Ann Nichols so off to check it all out.

A William Pendlebury age 20, was married Aug 22nd 1870 at Church of St Mary, Widnes. William was a waterman, and his father James also a waterman. Bride was Elizabeth Harrop,18, father Joseph a porter.

James Pendlebury, 19, waterman, 17, Wellington St, father William a waterman.
Frances Snape, 19, 4 Duke St, father John a waterman.
Witnesses: Robert Snape and Elizabeth Snape.

There's a baptism for James P. at Runcorn All Saints, Sept 3rd 1871, son of William (waterman) and Elizabeth.
