Default Susan Harriet Ann Allan nee Wilson

Hello, I am currently trying to trace SHA Allan who married William Allan (his 2nd marriage) near Mallacoota in 1888, where they continued to live. William died there is 1912. The marriage and his death, and the birth of most of their children were recorded in Victorian BDM. William's obituary stated "Miss Wilson" and that her brother was a George Wilson, former bridge contractor in the area. I have searched both NSW & Victoria BDMS using various names, and spelling though obviously not correctly. Any help would be gratefully received.

There is a tree on ancestry who has Sarah born 3 July 1862 at Bega NSW. Parents Lewis George Wilson 1806 Hamburg Germany died 3 August 1891 Locheil NSW.
Mother - Caroline Watkins (or Phillips) 26 July 1923 Herefordshire England, died 29 July 1880 Pambula NSW

The tree owner has William Allan with the middle names Edmund George and dates 1848 - 1912. Five children born to William and Susan
    Sydney Eden Allan - 1889 - 1965
    David Robert Allan 1890 - 1958
    William James Russell Allan 1891 - 1976
    Irene Dulcie Victoria Allan 1895 - 1936
    Mytrle Holly Emily Allan 1897 - 1981

The owner of the tree Larry Allen has Susan's death as 1957 but no date or place given and there are no records of siblings for Susan. Other trees give her death as
14 December 1957, 7 Forest Road, Double Bay, New South Wales
Whether this information is correct needs to be researched as there are no sources given.

William and Susan are on the 1903 electoral roll where William has no middle names and Susan is recorded as Susan Harriet only.
There is a gravestone for a Susan Harriet Allen but whether this is your Susan and she returned to NSW after her husbands death?

In the Sydney, Australia, Anglican Parish Registers, 1814-2011 there is a marriage in 1917 of a Susan Allan of Genoa Victoria, parents William Allan grazier deceased and Susan Wilson so maybe Susan Harriet Ann did move back to NSW at some point.
THe original image is on ancestry.
Just recording these pieces of information as I find them. You may already have them of course.

Yes, all helpful information. I had seen the 1917 marriage, just a pity I couldn't tie it in with a birth record with parents names. Am looking at quite a few families in the Eden district (for a friend whose home was completely flooded out, and her family history with it). Unfortunately a lot of BDM records are proving very hard to source. Many thanks again. I have been to the Tasmania site and looked at the Wilson marriage and convict permission etc. Also Ryerson Index refers to Susan's SMH death notice, but 1957 not digitised.

If the 1862 birth is correct, then this could be who the tree is referring to (NSW BMD):

WILSON HARRIET A 7494/1862 LOUIS / CAROLINE. EDEN

Also an Emma Wilson in 1856, and Mary A Wilson in 1864

Emma Wilson married James HYDE in 1876, and their children include Caroline Susannah born 1879

Emma died at Marrickville in 1938 as Emma Maria Hyde, parents Louis & Caroline, so it looks like the family weren't averse to adding extra names to the one(s) they were born with!

If the information about Caroline Watkins (or Phillips) is correct, then as well as some earlier births in Tasmania (one with the father named as Ludwig), then there also seem to be some births in South Australia:

WILSON John Lewis M Lewis WILSON Adelaide 3/318 1851
WILSON George M Lewis WILSON Adelaide 4/222 1853
WILSON Lewis George M Lewis WILSON Adelaide 5/225 1855
WILSON Maria F Lewis WILSON Adelaide 7/440 1857
WILSON Caroline F Lewis WILSON Adelaide 15/406 1860

Caroline's baptism names her mother as Caroline Watkins. The Tasmanian births say she is Phillips, except for Louisa (1848) when she is Caroline Watkins and the father is Ludwig Wilson.
