    Default Cyndi's List

    When I started my genealogy research, back in the mists of time, there weren't as many genealogy forums, groups and websites online. One of the most useful, after GENUKI of course, was Cyndi's List - a treasure chest of URLs for world-wide genealogy (and my family is very international).

    Time does pass quickly when you're enjoying yourself, but I was somewhat startled to see on another group that Cyndi's List is 26 today! Has it really been that long?

    Happy birthday Cyndi's List, thanks for the leads, and good luck for your next quarter century!

    However, when Cyndi's List first started she was Cyndi Howells, wife of Mark Howells, who was the list-owner of the Norfolk Rootsweb mailing list in the early 2000s.
