    Welcome to the British Genealogy Forum.
    If you are very new to online noticeboards, you may find something I wrote a while back useful. It's not rules, just suggestions of ways to get the best from your messages. It's HERE.

    Have a look round, and see what is where. If you choose a sub-forum that looks interesting, have a look and see whether there's "sticky messages" at the top. These contain general information for that topic.

    And don't worry. If you feel that you've made a mistake, ask anyone with "Moderator" tagged under their name/photo for help. We can generally fix most things, or we know a man who can!
