    If he was in the Navy to get wounded in 1918, have you considered that he might have been serving on the hospital ship in 1915, rather than a patient?

    Yes thanks I have that newspaper message from the Kirkintilloch Herald when he was gassed. I have loads of info for his time period in France it's his early days in Gallipoli I'm trying to track down. I've have all his info leading upto his arrival on the Gallipoli Peninsula on the 20th of August. Its the gaps from then until the RND were evacuated from there and moved too the Western Front.

    Why didn't you preface your post by specifying EXACTLY what you were after and that you already held a wealth of information. Have to admit I had a gut feeling about this from the outset.

    Sorry for any misunderstanding, but I did clearly put the time period of 13th 14th Sept 1915 and probably heading to Mudros. Apologies on my side for being not being accurate enough. This is my first time on a forum like this and it's all new to me. Sorry to all those that have been searching records on my behalf
