If I had re-read (and re-read again) the first post I would have seen that it gives all the info I have found. Except for the tree on Ancestry. Now I have found another tree that shows father Joseph Day but no mother's name. It shows Joseph bring born in Birmingham abt 1789. I cannot make out his occupation on the 1851 census but it looks like Trap Foundrey (?) I can't find him on any other census.

On the '51 Census her PoB is given as "Gloucestershire". On the '61 Census it is given as "Ashorne, Warwickshire"

The last column is ticked in '51 - blank '61. Any significance?

There is no results i can find for a Lucy Day or Dey or Handley or Handy in any of the english regions that she states as being born in or around in her census records. In the marriage certificate it says Joseph Day is a labourer.

    Brass founder.
The first letter is like the B of Birmingham.
And what looks like a P at the end of the first word is a 'long s', meaning double ss.

    Census reference HO107/2053 folio 162 page 22.
