Thank you, I guess I will have to see if my library has ancestory. But I know about their gravestones. Sadly we were there in October to bury their son in law. John Toohey, which was married to their daughter Joan (Halls).

Just to clarify Frances Theresa Banham's mother Elizabeth's maiden name which on the index for Frances birth registration is given as MOUISON but when I looked on the GRO birth index for the daughter Jessie age 6 born Norfolk the mother's maiden name is Morrison . That makes sense and the birth reg for Robert A Banham age 11 in 1891 census gives Morrison as the MMN confirming it. Robert also joined the Royal Navy and this is his index entry on the Find a Grave site
    Lieut-Commander Robert Alexander Banham
    Death Date - 18 Oct 1941
Cemetery - City of London Cemetery and Crematorium
Burial or Cremation Place - Newham, London Borough of Newham, Greater London, England
Robert Alexander married an Ellen Elizabeth Latham 4 March 1905 at Little Ilford, St Mary The Virgin, Essex, England
I am not following all of Frances Theresa's siblings but if a piece of info pops up Then I may post it. I am mainly following the direct line.

His parent's marriage on FreeBMD March 1/4 1864
Charles Banham, Elizabeth Morrison registration district Plymouth vol 5b page 484.

Moving back to the 1871 census
    RG10 piece 1033 folio140 page 23
    40 Tower? or Lower?
    St Leonards Hastings, Sussex
Charles Banham 28 Sgt Royal Artillery
Elizabeth Banham 28 wife, Athlone Ireland.
Mary A Banham 4 Dau Woolwich Kent
    Agness Banham 2 Dover Kent
Agness Banham 15 Sister Bungay, Suffolk

That's a surprise Elizabeth saying she was born in Ireland when all further censuses say Devon. I thought that maybe Charles had had a first wife with the same name Elizabeth but Mary A's and Agnes" birth reg has the MMN Morrison. Agnes has the 1st name Elizabeth on her birth reg.

UK, Apprentices Indentured in Merchant Navy, 1824-1910
Chas Banham Age 15 Birth Year abt 1843
Registration or Indenture Date - 3 May 1858 at Yarmouth,
    Port of Registry - Newcastle
    Vessel: Sisters
The original document is on ancestry.
I can't see Charles on the 1861 census so he may have been at sea.

    1851 HO107 piece 1804 folio 158 page 16
    Alms House Lane
William Banham 33 Grocer and tea dealer (Master)Bungay Suffolk
Mary Ann Banham 31 Poringland, Norfolk,
William Banham 10 Bungay Suffolk Poringland, Norfolk,
    Charles Banham 7 Bungay Suffolk
    Anna Banham 5 Bungay Suffolk
    Henry Banham 2 Bungay Suffolk

    1841 HO107 piece 790 book 9 folio 44 page 11
    St Peter Per Mountergate Norfolk
    George Banham 50 Cooper
    Susan Banham 56
    William Banham 25 j cooper
    Isaac Banham 15 app cooper
    Hannah Banham 17 Dress? M?
Isac Banham 85 Independant means. I don't think the name is Isaac on original image. Looks like George? So could be George 50 father?
    Sarah George 65

All born in the county. 1841 census doesn't give a specific place of birth and the ages were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest 5 for those over 15 years of age. Some enumerators did it some didn't.
