    Default Army Records from MOD

    Hi all
    I've applied for who we thought was my husbands grandfather, army records back in August. As of yet I've heard nothing from them, so I've no idea of they have received my application. I understand they must have a serious backlog due to covid, but just wondering if anyone had any idea on the average timescale. I know my cheque will be no good to them after 6 months so hopefully I would have had something back from them by then.

    Expect a delay of about eighteen months, possibly longer.
    I applied for my dad's records at the end of 2019 and am still waiting.
    I have been reliably informed that once people are back in the office then more staff will be allocated to help clear the backlog.
