Hi Sue, yes, that's him. I've been doing family research for years and find the family side of things relatively easy. I'm not so good with military research so very happy to get help with that. It was because he wasn't in the 1939 register and a family story said he was a soldier in 1936, I had thought he'd served continuously. Until a birth certificate told me otherwise. Which led to my questions above. Thank you for being interested, its great to share this.
