    Default inscription on medal

    hi everyone
    Was wondering if anyone could assist with a couple of queries.
    firstly I have a Northern Ireland Campaign medal inscribed to a Private R H Hamilton 24565713.Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders.
    Should the medal say A & SH OR A AND SH.
    I cant seem to find his name anywhere service number the same
    thank you for any assistance in this matter greatly appreciated

    Is this the General Service Medal with Northern Ireland clasp?

    Sounds to me to be much too recent to expect to find much online. Service records, for example will not yet have been released by the Ministry of Defence. You can apply for a copy but the guy may well still be alive. That a campaign medal. If he was awarded a gallantry medal you could try the Edinburgh Gazette

    By the way there were over 130,000 of these medals issued so the value is relatively low.
