    Default Looking for Violet Morris

Hi, I've been searching for a Violet Morris for a long time now but without any luck.
She lived on mill lane, Eastry, Sandwich, Kent in 1929, she had a daughter born in 1929, I bought the birth certificate but there is no fathers name on the certificate, maybe even had a son (but not sure).
I can't find anything on her, no birth/death certificate, not on any census, just no info at all. I believe she died around 1930s - early 1940s.
I find it hard that there is absolutely no info or records relating to her.
On her daughter's birth certificate her name is recorded as Violet Morris but no middle name mentioned, I'm wondering if she had a middle name but never used it.
Any info or advice would be very useful and appreciated. Thanks

Hi, yes it's Dorothy. There's no middle name either.

    Exact date of birth?

Born in hospital or other institution?

    Birth cert marked as adopted?

It would be nice to be sure that the daughter is dead before we discuss her in any detail.... People can, of course, swap data by means of the PM system.

Hi Peter, yes 17 may 1929. As for where Dorothy was born, I don't know if hospital or other. Nothing on cert about adoption.
There is something that doesn't make sense on the birth certificate. Where it states name and maiden surname of mother, it has the following written in the section: (Violet Morris of no occupation of the bungalows). It has more writing but I can't make it out. Thanks

Thanks. That keeps the discussion within our T&C.
Does the certificate says who registered her death? A family member?

What was the address where Dorothy was born? Could it have been a nursing home or some such called "the {whatever} bungalows"

Dorothy birth cert states a registrar. It's her mum Violet I'm trying to find out about. I don't have the death certificate for Dorothy as I went to the funeral. As for the address, Dorothy's birth cert states it was 2 mill lane, Eastry

According to the Kentworkhouses.uk website, from 1905 the address put on the birth certificates of children born in the workhouse was 2 Mill Lane, Eastry.
Violet may not necessarily have lived in the workhouse even though she gave birth there.
