Trying to find out information about Thoma McKenzie, born 1866 in Demerara, Guyana. According to his British marriage certificate his father’s name was Christmas McKenzie and he was a distillery foreman. Any information about this family would be much appreciated.

When you say 'British marriage certificate' do you mean that Thomas was married in the UK? If so, where and when?
Did he stay over here, or did he return to Guyana?
And to save the forum members duplicating research you already have, what else do you know about him and his family/ancestors/descendants?

I presume you will know from the marriage certificate that Jane's maiden name was Bailey, and the GRO Index shows three children born. Two of the children are shown on the 1939 Register entry for Thomas and Jane living in Wesley Street Liverpool. FMP list daughter Jane's married name as Gregor, when it's actually Gregory. She married in September quarter 1949, and there seems to have been two children from the marriage. Our T&Cs forbid giving details of possibly living people but you can find out the names from FreeBMD.
Robert William possibly married in 1945 - again details from FreeBMD. You would have to purchase the certificate to confirm that his father is Thomas. Possibly at least one child from the marriage but there a few too many McKenzie- Jones birth registrations in the Liverpool area to be more precise. Death registration for Robert - June quarter 1990, Liverpool registration district.
Thomas' occupation in the 1939 Register is ship's cook retired, so you might not be able to find him on any census, be it English, Canadian, American. etc.
Googling 'Guyanan church records' brought up a whole load of hits, including this one.

As there doesn't seem to be many (if any at all) Guyanan records online, I think that it's going to be a case of 'if you want the information, you'll have to do the digging'.
