    Default Bateman

I am trying to find the parents of an Alice Bateman, born in 1875,possibly in the Saxthorpe area. We know she married a Charles Harrison, went on to have several children, whose names we have. We also know Charles’s parents were a Thomas and Mary Harrison, both born around 1836. Thankyou.

Can you give any more details of the marriage? i.e. date and place. I cannot find any record of marriage between Alice Bateman and Charles Harrison. However I have found Alice Bateman and Charles Gazzard in Gloucestershire, 29 May 1892. Alice's father is William at this marriage.

Are you looking at Alice Maria Bateman who appears on the 1881 census?

The Alice M Bateman on the 1881 also appears on the 1891 census as Alice Maria Bateman.

There’s a baptism that names the couple as parents.

    Name: Alice Maria Saleman Harrison
    Gender: Female
    Spouse: Charles William Harrison
    Child: Enid Mary Harrison
    Parish: Saxthorpe

That’s all I know of their marriage, but I’m guessing it was in the Saxthorpe area. Thankyou for your reply.
