James Dursley, 26, labourer, 48 Brandon Buildings, father Charles Dursley, deceased

Auther [sic] Russell 39, boot and shoe maker, Ross Herefordshire.
    Florence J Russell 28. Bristol
    Arthur T Russell 9, Clifton
    Florence Russell 5, Clifton

Elizabeth must be the same Elizabeth in the 1881 census above, and Florence her dau.

Marriage St Augustine the Less, Bristol, 24 May 1890.
Arthur Russell, 27, bachelor, shoemaker, ??????? Court, father Thomas Russell a sawyer.
Florence Jane Morse, 19, spinster, servant, Pipe Lane, father George Morse mason.
Witnesses Eliza Gardner and John Lewis.
Note* there's a Lilly Gardiner grandchild on the 1881 census.

Ellen Ada Morse married Frederick George Farler St Augustine the Less, Bristol, 20 Dec 1882
The witnesses were James and Eliza Gardner (those names again)

I think Ellen Ada's age in 1881 should be 17.

I'm yet to work out how Lily Gertrude Moxham is a grandchild to George and Elizabeth Morse.

The only way to know who Lily Gertrude's mother is is to buy the birth certificate.

Ah, think I've worked it out, back in a mo.

Thank you for that information, Antony.
Though thinking logically the only records likely to have been completely lost through bombing would have been those for the current quarter, plus depending how 'new' the current quarter was and therefore whether there had been time to send the previous quarter's returns to the GRO, those of the previous quarter. But that wouldn't have applied in this case because we're talking about records ten years prior to WW1 and thirty-five to WW2.

James Daisley 27, general labourer, St Phillips Bristol
Lily Daisley 24, St Augustine Bristol
James Daisley 1, St Augustine Bristol
Lily Daisley 3/12, St Augustine Bristol
Correctly transcribed as Dursley on FMP, but found only by using basic search terms. i.e. James Dursley, born 1899 +/- 1 year, or 1900 +/- 1 year. If you enter Bristol as a birthplace you get no results.
It doesn't help that Lilian is listed as LIly on the census, which means that you have to search for her using variants of that name.
And don't get me started on searching by entering the piece. folio, and page numbers. That simply doesn't work. I've tried it on a couple of my own family census references with similar results, so FMP will be getting yet another complaint from 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells'.

Pam, I've found them on FMP using only Piece: 2372; Folio: 106; Page: 10

    Hi Alma,
Putting on my techie hat (as if I know anything about techie stuff in the first place!!!) what browser are you using? I'm using Firefox via Linux, and when I try putting in the those numbers I get 6,478 results with just the piece number but the minute I enter the folio number it changes to no results. However, in trying it again I have found that if I type the 106 in slowly it shows 201 results if I stop at 10, and the Dursleys are in those results but that's not the way it's supposed to work.

    Thanks Alma.
Must be because I've got the Linux system on my computer rather than Microsoft/Windows 10 though I can't recall any problems initially.
