Greetings from Scotland!

Hi all! My name is Olivia and I'm a Canadian-British plant lover living in Edinburgh. Though I'm living in Scotland, my ancestry (from what I've been able to find) is 75% English with dabs of French/Irish/etc. I've researched my family trees on and off for about 10 years, but recently have been trying to hunt down my great-grandmother's birth certificate for an application my mother is doing. Along the way, I've learned about the bombing of records in Bristol, that "St Paul" and "St Paul's" are different and have become a "what do you mean they don't exist??" screen-yeller when on the GRO site.

I've been a lurker on these forums for a few weeks and figured it was time to join in the fray!
