There was a Morris Jacobs 169 Forestreet Exeter clothes salesman and silversmith Exeter Directory 1828. By 1830 he was a bankrupt and maybe the Jacobs and Co tailors and drapers 25 High Street Exeter.
Whether or not he was related to Isaac Abraham Jacobs is not known. Nor are there records to show what happened to him in terms of moving away from Exeter.

Morris Jacobs #11 was one of the members who signed the Exeter Jews Burial ground lease in 1827. He was recorded as a silversmith. However, Isaac Abraham was born circa 1811 in Exeter and we still have no data to link him to the very small number of named Jacobs in Exeter for the period.

Pat
You might want to look more closely at Morris Jacobs- He is listed as a Licensed Navy Agent for Petty Officers and seamen 125 Fore Street Hill Exeter 14 Nov 1822 and later in 1828, 169 Fore Street Exeter before becoming a bankrupt. He is further listed as being a chapman, silversmith, tailor, clothes salesman.
As a navy agent he would be licensed ( licenses lasted 3 years and then renewed if approved) to sell goods, probably 2nd hand clothes to the sailors and better clothing to the petty officers. He had done well to set himself up in a shop and advertise for an apprentice in 1828.
Isaac Abraham Jacobs was an accountant to start in 1841 and 1851 Census- this suggests some type of book keeper but we don't know in what trade. If Morris Jacobs was his father or a close relative ( speculation) this might explain how he learned to keep the books if he worked in his father's/relative shop.
This is guess work but maybe a link to investigate further.Phillip-Jewish,British Ancestry

Follow up to # 12 and 14. Jewish Surnames in London Registered Insurance Policies- MORRIS JACOBS Navy agent and clothes salesman 2 North Corner Street Plymouth Dock 01/07/1816. He appears to be the same person who moved to Exeter. The 1851 Anglo Jewry Data base has no record for a Morris Jacobs suggesting that he was either dead or possibly emigrated.

Morris Jacobs had an unnamed daughter- May 8 1834 Exeter Flying Post- Miss Jacobs ( daughter of Mr Morris Jacobs) Juvenile and infants clothing, bedding etc -25 and a half High Street Exeter. Looks as if she took over part of her father's shop. However, he was bankrupt in 1834 and the shop plus all contents sold.
Where did the family go and is Isaac Abraham Jacobs one of his children?Phillip-Jewish,British Ancestry

In the court case Zacharias v Collis (1820) reference was made to Morris Jacobs who was employed by Zacharias. In his statement to the court Morris Jacobs stated.." That he went to live with Zacharias, a navy agent and shopkeeper in Point Street Portsmouth as clerk and to attend to his shop and continued in his employ until November 1812." He was under 17 years at the time of his employment in 1811.
Whether or not he was the same person as Morris Jacobs Navy agent Dec 1816-Sept 1820 North Corner Street Plymouth Dock who moved to Exeter is not clear.
In addition, there is no current data to link them to Isaac Abraham Jacobs.
There were Jacobs living in Portsmouth, Plymouth and Exeter at the time of Isaac Abraham Jacobs but still no data to confirm his parents. Similarly, there is no clear data on Elizabeth and Hannah Lewis sisters and their parents.Phillip-Jewish,British Ancestry

I can't find Morris Jacobs in any of the data I have access to. As you said there is no clear baptismal info for Elizabeth and Hannah Lewis either. The date of the marriage of Isaac and Elizabeth in 1833 would have made Elizabeth 17yrs old. I thought if you were under age you had to have parental consent, not 100% certain of that though.
I've found a baptismal record for their son Abraham in 1834 which notes Isaac as a Tailor.

I would treat the ages of individuals with caution unless there is a specific record which identifies their dob. From the marriage of Isaac and Elizabeth we know that there were no family witnesses. This would not be a surprise if Isaac was a Jew and both families were against the marriage.
If Isaac is related to Morris Jacobs we also know that this Morris was involved with the Exeter Synagogue. If Isaac married out of the Jewish custom ( of course this presupposes that Isaac Abraham was a Jew)then often such individuals were isolated from their family and community. It depended on the family how they responded and there are records of Jews being baptised as families but this was not common.
You also have wills ( I have these in my own lines) where any bequests were null and void if an individual married out of the Jewish custom.
By the way I noted at least one Wesleyan baptism for the Isaac line. We don't know if Elizabeth Lewis was also a Jew and both she and Isaac converted. A lot of unknown data to be confirmed.
It looks as if Isaac moved to an area where Elizabeth had roots pre London move.Phillip-Jewish,British Ancestry

This maybe a red herring and long shot but Isaac Jacobs 1758-1835 son of Lazarus and Mary ( this is the famous Bristol glass line)had a son Morris Jacobs. I can't locate records so far that confirms this Morris Jacobs and if so is he one in the same as the Morris in Portsmouth/Plymouth and Exeter. In addition, is he the father of Isaac Abraham.
As stated in #18 Abraham Isaac Jacobs father Isaac Abraham Jacobs was a tailor living Montague Street Bristol when Abraham was baptised at the Ebenezer Chapel King Street Bristol (Wesleyan chapel)in 1834.
We don't know what trade Isaac Abraham Jacobs was an accountant in.
The Jacobs glass line married out as well as in the Jewish custom.Phillip-Jewish,British Ancestry
