    Default EDWARDS, Raymond M C, b1889 - WW1

    This man's mother (nee CLAXTON) PROBABLY re-married and her son took her new surname of MARGETTS - so that is how he is filed in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

    home: Burnham Norton/Burnham Market, Norfolk
    mother: Ellen H
    Joined the London (Artists) Regiment on 3 September 1914, declaring age 25y 1m, born London.
    Regimental Nos: 2254 & 760242.
    Discharged 1919.
    (Hospitalised 1919 with "nerve trouble")

    The names Ellen Harriette Claxton and George William Margetts on same page of marriage register March 1896 Greenwich.

    Ellen recorded as "widow" in 1891.
    Yet to trace a marriage to William Thomas Edwards.
