I have actually been thinking the same and added the surnames at Burns Road to Elizabeth or even Gerald. (I'm beginning to actually hate these two people )
I'm certain the Elizabeth at Talbot Road is the same at Burns Road, as I cant find any record of Elizabeth at Talbot Road after her husbands death.

Hi Everyone
Turns out Sadie was actually Elizabeth.
I found her on the 1939 census married to a John Kinsella then she was at Burns road after he died in 1946 and stayed there until her death in 1966.
Her marriage certificate to John puts her down as Elizabeth Carroll widow and her fathers name Patrick Condon. Hoping this gets me a bit closer to finding Gerald Carroll.

Thanks for letting us know. Was there an occupation for Patrick Condon given on the marriage certificate?

That is interesting. There are a few possible Elizabeth Condons born Ireland to consider. One in particular was born Labamolagga, Mitchelstown reg dist Cork. 20May 1897, father Patrick blacksmith. Free to download from Irish genealogy website. She is with the family as Eliza age 3 at Labbamolagga West Templemologa Co Cork in 1901 but not with the family in 1911. I haven't found a death so far ( 11 children, 9 still living though so possible). At 13 she could be in service somewhere.
There was another Elizabeth with father Patrick I did see, but forget where, but father was a labourer. 1901 and 1911 Irish censuses are free to view at National Archives Ireland.

I have now found him (hopefully) Elizabeth went to the USA in 1915.
His birth record shows him just as a male Condon mother Elizabet living in a hotel no father. Records show an E Condon 23 and a G Condon 1 yr 1 month coming back to Labamolagga in February 1919 New York to Liverpool.
Still no idea where the Carroll came into it.

That Sadie Kinsella one was irrelevant as it was proved that Sadie was a figment of someone's imagination. The lady we're looking for was called Elizabeth, who at some time had the surname of Carroll and she married Joseph KInsella in 1947. See post #29 for details from the marriage certificate.
