I may have found some info
Hello. I may have stumbled upon some info for you. I was looking up something else, which brought me here. (And I'm not very proficient on the computer so please excuse this if it is not helpful). There was a passenger on this ship named Ada Ward and she was noted as a "Miss". I don't know if maybe it was your grandmother leaving the African cape due to the war where her step-father was involved, since he was a soldier. I thought maybe you'd want to check it out. Ada is mentioned at the bottom of the second paragraph:
