Hi,
I have found a fantastic piece of history in my attic. A piece of the propeller to an AVRON plane that crashed on the lake where I live in 1920. The pilot was a former RAF pilot from GB named Cecil Hubert Ralli Johnston. After the war he worked as a pilot in Sweden for a few years. He survived the crash and met his wife here: Ellen Martina Elisabeth Johnston (Mayer). They moved back to England (Middlesex, London probably) around 1922-23 and that is where my research meets a dead end. I can not find any info on them after that. I was hoping to find any living grandchildren or great grandchildren that I can give the propeller to. It has some amazing handwritten information on it about the crash and about the pilot.
Please help me, it would be awsome if I can find a relative.
Best regards, Henrik

Welcome to the British-Genealogy forums Henrik.
I have removed your post, which was exactly the same as this one, from the Middlesex forum because duplicate posts can cause frustration and confusion if our members are searching for the same information and then replying in two different forums.
There is a public tree on ancestry which has details on this man and records his death as 30 July 1959 Stockholm, Sweden. Birth 9 June 1892 Hampstead, London,
anestry.com has the probate date 11 Feb 1960 London and gives his place of residence as Askrikegatan, Probate granted to Edward Tolley Grubb solicitor. The tree doesn't have any details for his wife Ellen Martina Elisabet Mayer's death or any children. It may be that we have to look for descendants of Cecil's siblings.

Plus servants
Parents and Cecil and Marguerite stall together in the 1911 census so it looks as if Cecil only had the one sibling.
There is also an entry for him in the UK, Royal Navy Registers of Seamen's Services, 1848-1939

His sister never married
Death Marguerita G Johnston age 58 registered January 1953 North Walsham Norfolk.
So that leaves us with looking for descendants of his parents siblings unless we can find any births for children to Cecil and Ellen either in Sweden or the UK.

Wow, thanks. So, he moved back to Sweden. That helped me a bit. The only trace I have found so far though is that he was the cashier for the Swedish Rugby Association in 1956
He was actually the cashier from 1933 until his death in 1959.

So why is Eliza Johnson nee Burk the daughter of John Evans and his wife Mary E Liddiard in the 1891 census?? Not that it makes any difference to trying to find descendants but I got caught up in chase.

I have now found out that Cecils wife, Ellen, died in 1954. She kept her last name Johnston but she was not living in Stockholm, like Cecil, she lived in a town called Jönköping when she died. And she seems to have used the name Lisa and not Ellen.
