Mis-filed as MARCOM in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):
Arthur MORCOM, enlisted February 1916, declared age 22y.
Address: Meledor, St Stephen in Brannel, Cornwall.
Father: FREDERICK.
Joined the DCLI (24835), transferred to the MGC (36210).
Discharged 1919.
I've not found his birth, but the name is common to St Stephens. (This just happens to be where I grew up ... many a happy hour spent risking life & limb in the old farmhouse at Meledor, which is in the middle of the clayworks!)

My logic (not one of my strong points!) for putting these soldiers in "Strays" is that anyone looking for Fred Smith is not going to be searching for him in the Jones section.
And an internet search won't bring him up because not all the pages are "indexed".
And as someone brought up in the age of pieces of paper mis-filed in filing cabinets, I thought it might be helpful to "pull them out".
But all the extra information sleuthed can only help future searchers.
And I thank you for it.
