Could it be your antivirus playing silly devils?

I don't have a specific antivirus program as a Mac user (I know that you can but I don't). All my devices are Apple. Either I'm told that privacy cannot be guaranteed and I'm not given a choice to ignore the advice or I'm told that the server is taking too long to respond so it times out. I first posted this several hours ago but things haven't changed, for me at least. I might just download Firefox and see where that gets me.

Are they supposed to have the records for the years you want? Remember there are cut-off years for the births and deaths indexes, and there are no marriages indexed.
You don't say what years you're at, but have you found possible birth registrations on FreeBMD, thereby indicating that (contrary to what they would like to imply) that the GRO still haven't mastered the art of full and correct indexing. It is known that even with new indexes on the GRO site that there are a lot of missing quarters and/or specific registration districts missing for various years/quarters.

    Hi Pam

I am trying to confirm the mother's maiden name at the birth of 4 children to confirm a marriage but you are correct that the years in question are not currently covered by GRO. The mother in question seemed to get married three times in the same city with different surnames but the same first name and middle initial so I want to eliminate the possibility of there being two people with the same first two names.

Appears the fault on the GRO is now fixed.
