Default EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS - HOPEFULLY GOOD NEWS

Although I posted the news in the original 'Email notifications - everyone please read', I've just realised that all the 'old-timers' won't read it because they're sick of seeing it cluttering up the board every day.

So I thought I'd better make another thread, announcing what seems to be good news.

I've received notifications of posts made in three threads to which I'd contributed in the last twenty-four hours.
I've further tested the system by sending myself a PM, and I received an email notification about that.

I am therefore cautiously optimistic that the problem has been fixed. DON'T ANYBODY BREAK IT, or I will come and haunt you.

Many thanks to the techies for fixing the problem.

Sorry, Sue, but I don't think I can claim in any way to have been the driving force behind getting the problem fixed. Though I might claim to be the one who first put two-and-two together, thereby highlighting the problem.

I will admit to doing stuff in another area impacted by the total loss of any email notifications.

    'Old timer', how dare you.

I know I'm on the wrong side of 65, but in my head i'm 14.

I wait with baited breath for any email acknowledgement.

    Regards, old timer Steve.

    Hooray.

I got notification of a message I sent to myself. All I need to now, is to reply to it and see what it says.

Thanks Pam. Going to miss the bomping and bumping for my daily exercise.

Talking to yourself is bad enough, but to then consider replying to what you've been talking about shows that you're really beginning to lose it!

I wouldn't know anything about that, Steve. You must tell me - if you can remember.

p.s. Is it wise to at your age? Surely you need to make sure that you can still get up OK?

...is part of my execrcise routine, now I am no longer Bomping or Bumping.

Getting up isn't a problem, it's getting down that's the problem.

Anyway, thanks for the chuckles. A day without a laugh is a day wasted.

I am not getting notifications on my post. So it is not working again.
