Default stuck ! - alice thirza spence

    HI All

I am trying to find out what happened to Alice Therza Spence ( nee Waldock) , I have her history including marriage , India ( Charles henry Spence ) and the birth of her son Oliver, India , up to :

1891 census - Plymouth , where she is living with her in laws ,and her son , but no husband .

Charles H spence leaves the army in 1889 in India , his record states he intends to live in Perth , Australia

Oliver then ends up 1901 in the Boys farm home ,east Barnet aged 12 years , he joins the army 1902 as a boy soldier .
he is one of our fallen ww1 , the reason for my research .

On Oliver's marriage cert 1907 , it states father DECEASED .

The in laws that Alice was with in 1891, William died 1898 and Susan died 1907.

so I seek news on Alice after 1891 and Charles after 1889 ?

hopefully some one can help ?

    Thanks
    Dean

    hi
quick update , I think this is her ,
EAST STONEHOUSE - Mr R. R. Rodd held an Inquest at Stonehouse yesterday on ALICE SPENCE, 33, widow, of 33 George-street, Stonehouse, who, Dr W. H. Waterfield said, died from syncope, occasioned by pleurisy. Private J. Perry, R.M.L.I., of H.M.S. Howe, said he had lived with deceased three or four years. On Wednesday evening she complained of being unwell and he attended her, but awaking the following morning he found her dead.

east stone house , is in plymouth , the last place we have on the 1891 census,

    hi Pamela
thanks , yes I agree .. trying to find where she was buried , looked on FAG , but no joy , hoping to find extra clues , I note that it says she is a widow on the newspaper report , so , if true , that means that charles (her husband) died between 1899 (leaving the army in India) and 1904 , narrows it down a bit ,
