    Default Robert Wiles

I'm hoping someone will be able to help as i'm in a dilemma at the moment. In my tree i have a Robert Wiles born about 1802. He married his wife Emma Pain in 1829. I have their marriage record and the Birth certificate of my Gt Gt Grandmother their daughter Eliza. But i want to get back from Robert. Unfortunately their are two one born about 1804 Elm Cambridgeshire Parents Cott and Elizabeth Wiles. There is also another Robert born about 1802 same place.
Two people on Ancestry public trees have done an awful of of work and have placed this Robert as the right one. His Parents are down and Martha Halifax and William Wiles. How can i make sure these two people have it right.
I would be grateful for any help.

FindMyPast has transcripts only (no image) of both baptisms.
The son of Cott and Elizabeth is named Robert, place Elm, date 31 Jan 1802. The son of William and Martha is named Robin, place Wisbech, St Peter, date 23 Jul 1804.
These are transcripts - unable to check original.

    EDIT
wrong way around!! Robert Wiles date of baptism is 23 Jul 1804, Robin's is 31 Jan 1802
    Apologies

FreeReg (transcript, no original) confirms the given name in the 31 Jan 1802 as Robin. However, all searching so far for a death, marriage, Census entry post baptism for the given name Robin has drawn a blank.

** Robert's age throwing a bit of a "wobbly" but clearly 60 on the sheet. Age on the '61 Census is 59 (oh for a bottle of that rejuvenating elixir).

If I was a betting man, and I don't think I'd get better than evens, my money would be on Robert, husband of Emma being the son of William and Martha.

    Default Robert Wiles

I'm looking for the parents of one of my ancestors by the name of Robert Wiles born 1802 Wisbech St Peter in Cambridgeshire. I know that Robert married Emma Pain and on the census his birth is recorded as above. I can't find Robert in the births /baptisms but there is a Robin Wiles Birth details same place same year. How likely is it that Robert and Robin are the same.
    Thank you.
