Hi everyone,
hope you are all okay with this health crisis.
I am trying to find and/.or confirm the birth or baptism of:
Wililam Costello b1797 Galway Ireland.
parents William Costello and Bridget Hogan. (according to Aust. death index).
However I have searched ancesty, findmypat, Ireland ie database. no luck.
It was claimed in his death notice that he was 18yrs old when the Battle of Waterloo was fought. making him 111 years of age at his death in 1908 Goulburn nsw Aust.
I can find a notice on the convict indents for 1824 of a William Costello aged 23yrs being transported for 7years due to sheep stealing from county Galway.
I also cannot find a marriage or death details for his parents.
thanking you
Doreenh
