Parish registers
Some, baptisms, marriages and burials are available at Findmypast. Parish list, but note that although a list might say 1600-1900 the register for 1800-1850 might be missing. Some are just transcripts; some entries have images as well. https://www.

Durham Diocese, Calendar Of Marriage Bonds & Allegations 1594-1815. Image browse, as per the BTs. If I remember correctly, marriage allegations have two pages to them, so make sure you check the next one.

Local Records of Northumberland & Durham, Volumes 1- 4
Gateshead, Durham, England, War Honours Scrapbook, 1914-1920
It also produced other items such as The History of the Belvoir Hunt which must be included because it contains the word Durham somewhere in its text, but obviously it's not connected to County Durham as such.

Don't forget Durham Records Online, which has lots of register and other transcripts. It's growing all the time, so worth checking back later if they don't have what you're looking for. Basic search is free, but pay-per-view for full details.

Thanks for that further link, Arthur.
I might have found it myself when searching for further resources - and equally I might not have.
I might add it to the first post later on. As it is I've had to add a note about newspapers usually being available at local libraries or archives. (Memo to self - add details of Durham and other archives.)

I've found this site invaluable - particularly for Sunderland
https://www.durham-images.org/
Follow the links on the left - there are zoomable maps of various cemeteries under [Cemetery Layouts]
https://www.durham-images.org/public...emeteries.html
and - particularly useful indexes for Sunderland on the [Parish Records] link
https://www.durham-images.org/public/parrec.html
They all tie in well with my other local sites
