Dear everyone,
hoping everyone is okay.
I am looking for :
1, Albert Farley born 1895 St. Pancras. listed in 1901 census with dad Robert, mum Elizabeth and sister Alice.
2. according to other trees, he had a brother William b.1892? St. Pancras but I cannot find him anywhere, either other census, married or deceased before 1901.
Robert died 1906, Elizabeth died 1907.
Alice married Mr. Parker and died 1956 Keningston.
What i am trying to find is: when did Albert travel to Australia and what happened to Willam.
thanking you
Doreenh

1891 Census - ref. RG12 400 75 14
The family includes a an Ethel Farley, age 4, Herbert Farley age 7 and William age 2 - all born Lambeth. Parents are Thomas and Elizabeth Farley.
Ethel fits the Ethel Mary Farley, Lambeth, 1886, mother Tyler.
The GRO has birth registrations that fit Herbert and William - both with mother's maiden name Tyler.
Are you aware of the newspaper item in the Islington Gazette, 6 May 1898, where a Robert Farley, age 32, musician, was accused of neglecting his wife and 4 children (not named)"dyfal donc a dyr y garreg"

I thought that birth registration looked out of place, Lambeth being south of the river, while Pancras and Islington are north.
I was right to be suspicious. Marriage 10 September 1882, Thomas Farley (occupation, horse-keeper) and Elizabeth Tyler at St Mary's, Lambeth.
Baptism 3 March 1893, at Lambeth All Saints, Wilfred Ernest Farley, son of Thomas, a horse-keeper, and Elizabeth.
There was a William James R Farley birth registration Pancras 1884, but his mother's maiden name was Simmons. The William Farleys registered in Islington 1893 and Holborn 1895 do not have Tyler as mother's maiden name.

Agreed - I wasn't offering them as the same family. Rather that the births would take some unpicking
