Would you be able to post a bit more of the will so it will be possible to compare letters in other words? And maybe not enlarge it so much - on my screen it has very fuzzy edges

when I google Thomas Maye of Sussex I get mentions of Ticehurst. Near Ticehurst is FLIMWELL which might have been spelt differently then ?

Possible Duddleswell. There is a 1561 Court entry, manor of Duddleswell mentioning Thomas Maye

The last few letters could very likely be “well”, the front bit doesn’t match though. It’s certainly in the right area. One branch of the May family were well known ironmongers. In those days this was a huge industry in the Weald, churning out cannons and other armaments for King Henry and Queen Elizabeth‘s armies. Once the iron ran out though, some of the towns may have disappeared.
That particular Thomas May eventually bought Pashley near Ticehurst from the Crown (formerly owned by the Boleyn family) and May descendants were there until 1922. I’m trying to track all the different branches, hence trying to identify the names of the different places and who got what as the will writer didn’t have any legitimate children from what I can see.
I can see Wadhurst and Lamberhurst but I think there are more places mentioned.

The word appears again in the middle of the 8th line down. First letter appears slightly different? Could it be Camberwell?

on a modern map, just to the north of Flimwell (near Ticehurst) is COMBWELL Wood
Apparently there's a Combwell Priory at Flimwell
