There is a 2 year old Arthur Sheldrake, visitor with the Anqueti family in St. Sampson's Guernsey on 1911, and a 22year old Mabel Sheldrake, born St. Sampsons single, cook for the Semple family on Guernsey. Possible mother and son?

    Dear Everyone,
thankyou. I did come across the nsw electoral roll info asa well as Margaret Eva Diehm police report, and one of the reports re ARthur and Mabel travelling to Aust.
Yes I now believe due to ages, that Mabel is Arthur's mother.
I will order his marraige cert to see what he put down as his parents.
Now to find his sibling William and further details onhis father William Thomas Hewlett.

Also still try and find where they went after 1943.

    once againm thankyou all.
please take care in this health crisis.

Left £2011. to Arthur Sheldrake Hewlett occ Carpenter.
Just throwing this in. It is probably a huge coincidence but there is a death in 1964 of a William T Hewlett b 1886 also in the Bridge registration area in Kent, where the Hewlett name is not particularly common. Mabel was already described as a widow in a passenger list but I suppose it is possible that that was not the case, and William was still alive.

    Dear Grisel
ordered death cert for son of 2st marriage Cecil William Bennett. Nothing is said that his mother Margaret was either alive or deceased.
according to Canada national archives, they dont keep records of passenger lists .
as according to a passenger list 1956 on noard Orion, Margaret Eva Hewlett was heading to Vanoouver.
cannot find a death for either Margaret or Arthur in Canada. will try the US in case they moved again.
    have a safe xmas.
