He died in 1894 in So. Crosby, Leeds Twp., Ontario Canada.

Probably a co-incidence but Wiki tree has a Pockridge Dancey born about 1808 died 1880 Born in Drumbo Annagelliff, Co. Cavan, Ireland. Son of Richard Dancey and Mary Foster. Husband of Martha Atkins.
Brother of William, Jane, Thomas, Isabella, Archibald Richard and Eliza.

Father of Richard Arthur, John, William, Daniel Thomas and Mary Eliza.

It also states that he was Head Constable in the Royal Irish Constabulary from 1831 - 1861

There is also quite a lot of info (on your Pockridge) on Ancestry. Have you seen any of it?
