    Default Please help me find my Grandad's records

    Hi,
    My Grandad (Frederick Schwieso) with army number 1670050 was apparently in the Royal Artillery but I can't find anything even though today I was given loads of new information. He joined up in 1923 at the age of 17 and apparently did the full 22 years.

    Help!

    I just googled British Army Service Records and, ignoring the adverts, the very first hit was official advice on how to get them!

    FMP has a register of Royal Artillery attestations.It looks as if he joined the Territorials first (1923) and then the regular army (1924).
