Help needed to find a marriage & birth record

I’m trying to locate two records

1. A marriage record for my great great uncle William Richard Vanstone Roberts & Janet Wilson Downie

2. A birth record for Janet Wilson Downie

William Richard Vanstone Roberts was born in Devonport on the 18th June 1919.
He worked as a civil servant and moved with his job. I’ve located some passenger lists including an arrival in London in 1958 from Hong Kong. The passenger lists have given me names of three children and his wife who was listed as J W Roberts.

I believe the wife’s name was Janet Wilson Downie.

Before her death Janet was living in Fife, Scotland and died on 5th May 1990.
According to the passenger lists she was born on the 25th December 1918. Unfortunately I can’t locate a birth record to give me a place of birth.

With regards to the marriage, William was single and living in Plymouth with his parents according to the 1939 Register. William and Janet’s first child was born in April 1948 in Hendon, Greater London. Therefore the marriage has to have taken place sometime between 1939 and 1948.

Birth registration for Janet in Dunfermline 1919.
Marriage registration 1944 also Dunfermline.
You can buy credits and see both registrations.

Dunfermline is in Fife.
